Seasonal Warehouse Associate

Reports To: Operations Supervisor – Trinidad 

Position Description  

The Seasonal Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in supporting the efficient and smooth operation of our warehouses. Primary responsibilities include receiving, reconciling, and storing inbound shipments, preparing orders for delivery and store transfers, and maintaining the overall organization of the warehouse. Additionally, the warehouse associate prioritizes exceptional customer service, ensuring that both internal and external customers have a positive experience with our store and brand. 

Essential Functions 

1. Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, receives inbound container shipments, deliveries, or internal transfers by counting and reconciling against transfer receipts while verifying quality and reporting discrepancies. 
2. Prepare inventory for internal transfers, including picking, packing, and loading delivery trucks. 
3. Pick and pack customer orders including the assembly of furniture, fixtures, etc., as required, and prepare for delivery or collection. 
4. Assists delivery team with deliveries including acting as part of the delivery team when required and ensuring customer deliveries are carried out in accordance with the company’s delivery policy. 
5. Where assigned participate in stock counts as directed by warehouse supervisor. 
6. Works on rotation in Store Stockroom, as requested, performing daily restocking of showroom, receiving transfer orders, and preparing orders for delivery and counting/packing stock as required. 
7. Where assigned, assist with in-store merchandising when required. 
8. Maintain efficient and proper storage of inventory according to operational guidelines. 
9. Ensure warehouse standards are met and maintained, i.e., visuals, cleanliness, signage, etc. 
10. Comply with company Health & Safety Policy and attend Occupational Health & Safety Training. 
11. Additional duties that may be assigned as necessary and reasonably expected within the scope of the position. 

Requirements  

• Completion of Secondary School Education with 4 – 5 CXC’s certificates. 
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment would be considered an asset. 
• Possession of a valid police certificate of character. 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
• Good interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Ability to achieve results independently and through teamwork and cooperation. 
• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor / warehouse for extended periods of time. 
• Availability to work shifts as required to receive containers, including Saturdays and Sundays when inventory management is required. 
• Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 150 lb., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
